Where Is Evian Water From

My first marathon: Barcelona 2010

After returning to run for 3 years where I've been testing 10kílómetros and half marathons, was eager to prove in the distance queen, in legendary 42 km. But if one thing was clear is that a marathon should be well prepared, you can not finish it go to suffer and walk. He had great respect and wanted to finish the whole enough to not hate forever.

The preparation was followed was probably the best, but I was satisfied. Three times a week since January, with three half marathons and two longer runs a couple of hours. My main fear was if he knew running a slower pace than I'm used to. Running 4.17 km half marathon, I was raised to 5 kilometer run in the marathon, but in fact never, when I train quiet, I'm going at that speed. In fact always train hard ....
So my initial idea to be about 3 hours 30 minutes I thought I was within my means. Far from the mythical 3 hours (a chimera for popular), but I personally considered an acceptable time for being a first marathon.

thought he might miss the background to any output of 30 kilometers, and also thought that even at the psychological level, I should be convinced to spend such a long distance. But David told me that with a base such as wearing the day of the Marathon, the fact of running a slower pace and motivation do the rest. My theory of "memory" of the body and the accumulated efforts for so long on the bike were also supposed to play in my favor.

few days before the Marathon TV3 journalist Arcadi Alibés presented his book "Running per be happy." At one point in his book, Arcadi said that the Marathon is a race of 12 miles beginning at mile 30. I liked that vision and made me think. I knew it had to come wholly to kilometer 30, I did not see the wall, but this phrase even more convinced me.

D-Day I was fortunate to have José Luis to me. He was the first to recommend not to go as slow as 5 km at the beginning. I leave it, very very quiet with the feeling of running very smooth, constantly keeping forces. Upon arriving at the Meridian, on km 18 I still quite large. Small distractions serve to ease the passage of the miles and help move. Olga's presence gives us a gel recoil and the presence of my mother does the job. The worst time was spent at the Avenida Diagonal, very monotonous stretch only saves the environment of the people which lies near the Plaça de les Glories. Just back towards the sea appears kilometer 30 and it is assumed that the race begins there. A while ago and had put into operation mode agonizing suffering. " Instead of running with your head up and enjoy the environment and was looking down and counting steps, just letting the minutes and the miles elapsed. It is easy for anyone to believe is not true, but at the time I got to deduct mileage. You can imagine the joy that is found 33 km when the expected head 32.

El Paso by the Arc de Triomphe is spectacular. Is the version of the Alpe d'Huez runner in the Tour. A narrow corridor of people encouraging you to take it as weak. After the Arc de Triomphe and the goose bumps as we went to the Plaça Catalunya. So yes I think it's done. The body is holding up well and does not show any pain at some time in the last three months had felt, and feared to feel during the marathon. Buttocks, hips, soles of the feet, knees, hold up without the slightest warning signal. Portal del Angel, Ramblas .. More and more people cheering and take you on wings towards the end. Avda Parallel brand and the last mile here and I can push a little. I see José Luis, sometimes I've been waiting for, is now suffering and I see him limping run each time a little more. But this is already done. We arrived at the Plaza Spain and arms raised to celebrate the victory to arrive in 3 hours 26 minutes. A victory for me. Finishing my first marathon and in less time than expected. I remember the medal proudly displayed in the picture is a new treasure on my shelf.

I know I have a matoniano within me. And I know this from Barcelona was the first but not the last.
